Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, located in southwestern Uganda, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to nearly half of the world’s mountain gorillas. Covering 321 km² of ancient rainforest, it offers breathtaking scenery, rich biodiversity, and unforgettable encounters. Permits: $800 per person (Uganda Wildlife Authority). A Maximum of 9 trekkers per gorilla family per day is allowed to view the different gorilla families, with a time range of 1–7 hours depending on gorilla movement. Every group of trekkers is allowed a maximum of 1 magical hour with the gorillas once found. The trails to gorilla trekking can be steep and muddy; porters are available to assist in way possible to make trekking easy for everyone .
